Having been named the best under 21 player of last season at last night’s Balon d’Or ceremony, Juventus centre back Matthijs de Ligt has spoken on the battle for the Serie A title with Inter.
Inter took full advantage of Juventus’ draw versus Sassuolo by winning their game against SPAL which allowed them to leapfrog their arch-rivals and go back to the top of the pile in Serie A.
“The rest of the season will be a difficult challenge for us because Inter are a great team and they have great players. However, there is still a long way to go in the season season and for us it is all about winning,” he explained in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.com.
“Would I rather win the league or Champions League? The league is just as important as the Champions League is. You cannot choose between them, every tournament we play in is important, including the Coppa Italia, we want to win everything.”
