Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso has admitted that his meeting with star man Federico Chiesa’s father, who is also his agent, went better than he expected it too.
Relations between Chiesa and the Viola club are believed to have become strained in recent weeks and rumours that Chiesa could soon be playing his football elsewhere continues to circulate in the media with him drawing links to both Inter and Juventus in particular.
“There was a meeting with Enrico Chiesa, it was my first time meeting with him. It was very positive. He is a good man, and I remember him as a player. Every father wants to do right by their son, and they are a great family. Things went better than I expected,” he remarked in an interview with Firenze Viola.
This season Chiesa has made 13 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored three goals and provided four assists.
