In an interview with TeleRadioStereo, former Inter sporting director Marco Branca has spoken on Inter’s current good form in Serie A.
“Inter are doing well, Conte is getting the most out of his players and I hope they can keep up this pace until the end of the season. They were first for some time then they did not maintain the necessary continuity required to stay there,” he explained.
Next he was asked about the many signings he made whilst at Inter.
“If I have to do an analysis of who I brought to the club I have very little space for regrets as they all did very well. I built a strong team over the years. Julio Cesar, Diego Milito, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Maxwell, Esteban Cambiasso among others were all players I brought in and some of them spent 10 years at Inter.”
Next he was asked if there is any difference between the Inter side of the mid to late 2000s and the current Napoli side, who have remained loyal to several players.
“There is a difference of 15 trophies between the teams. Napoli have not won like we did. They are in a different situation to what we were.”
In conclusion Branca added: “I am sure that Inter will be able to fight until the very end this season. The only team that I think could have been higher and could have done more than Inter is Napoli.”
