Former Inter and Roma midfielder Luigi Di Biagio has admitted he has been taken by surprise when it comes to the performances of his former employers this season ahead of their clash on Friday.
“I did not expect either of them to be where they are. I was expecting it to be Juve first, Napoli second and Inter third. Antonio Conte is doing incredible things with Inter as is Paulo Fonseca with Roma, who has them playing good football,” he said in an interview with Italian radio station TMW Radio.
He then shared his belief in Inter Sebastiano Esposito, who has shown some promise in a handful of substitute appearances for the Nerazzurri this season despite only being 17.
“Lots of Under 21s have exploded this season. Sebastiano Esposito could explode at Inter and the hope is that Sandro Tonali can take a further leap in quality. Tonali, Zaniolo and Kean are the strongest players under 21 that we have at the moment.”
