Inter owned striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa doesn’t intend to return to the Nerazzurri in January, according to a report from Brazilian media outlet GloboEsporte.com.
The report details how the 23-year-old Brazilian striker has clearly expressed his will to not return to Milan to the club’s management, a decision that the Nerazzurri seemingly share as they look to cash in on his successful season with Flamengo in order to achieve other market objectives.
However, the report continues, there is still the chance that Flamengo won’t purchase Gabigol either. The Brazilian club are concerned about the price requested by Inter, a figure they consider excessive, despite his incredible season with the club.
This season with Flamengo, Gabigol scored an incredible 34 goals and provided 11 assists in 40 games, helping them win both the Brazilian league title and the coveted Copa Libertadores. Inter are hoping that they can sell him and use that money to strengthen their midfield in the upcoming January transfer window.
