Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde is set to rotate the squad heavily for their Champions League clash against Inter next Tuesday, due to important games in the league between now and Christmas, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Spanish newspaper AS.

The report details how the Blaugrana have already guaranteed qualification to the next round of the competition and even a loss against Inter won’t see them give up their first-place spot. Therefore, huge stars of the club such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets are all expected to be absent from the game.

Other players such as Ivan Rakitic, Gerard Pique, Sergi Roberto and Clément Lenglet aren’t expected to start, the report continues, although they are options if needed by Valverde in the game. The only lethal threat expected to start for the Blaugrana’s attack is Antoine Griezmann.

Probable Barcelona Formation (4-3-3): Neto; Wague, Todibo, Umtiti, Júnior; De Jong, Aleñá, Vidal; Carles Pérez, Griezmann, Ansu Fati
