Ex-Inter Sporting Director Marco Branca: “Those Who Are Not Used To The San Siro Can Feel Intimidated, Young Or Experienced”

Former Inter Sporting Director Marco Branca explained the hostile and tough atmosphere present in the San Siro during the Nerazzurri’s goalless draw against Roma on Friday in a report in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

“Those who are not used to the San Siro and are not already accepted by the fans can feel intimidated, especially if they don’t have a great personality. The player, young or experienced, feels when there is no trust, and everything becomes more difficult. The advice is to believe in oneself within the team.”

The Nerazzurri faced a tough crowd in the San Siro during Friday’s game against Roma, due to the Milanese side’s perceived defensive mentality as well as their lack of lethal chances. Despite the dropped points, however, Inter managed to stay at the top of the league table, still two points ahead of rivals Juventus, due to the Bianconeri’s 3-1 defeat to Lazio in Rome last night.
