UEFA have officially announced the officiating team for Inter’s Champions League clash against Barcelona on Tuesday, according to Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

The report details how Dutch referee Björn Kuipers will lead the officiating team in Tuesday’s game, with his assistants Sander Van Roekel and Erwin Zeinstra. In the VAR room there will be Pol Van Boekel and Dennis Higler, with the fourth official set to be Serdar Gözübüyük.

Kuipers has officiated 12 games so far this season, nine in his native Netherlands and there in the Champions League. He gave six yellow cards in the three games, whilst also giving a penalty in Bayern Munich’s 6-0 win over Red Star Belgrade last month. Last season Kuipers oversaw multiple high-profile games in the Champions League, including Barcelona’s 3-0 win over Liverpool and Juventus’ 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

Inter need to win against the Blaugrana on Tuesday if they want to progress to the next round of the competition, as they are currently tied with German side Borussia Dortmund for second place in the group.
