Antonio Conte is hopeful that Romelu Lukaku will be able to repeat the performance that he put in against Slavia Prague in tomorrow night’s Champions League group stage finale against Barcelona according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Lukaku put in arguably his best performance in a Nerazzurri shirt to date as Inter ran out 3-1 winners away in Prague on match day five of the group stage.
The Belgian international scored his first Champions League goal since his arrival from Manchester United and provided two assists for strike partner Lautaro Martinez. Had it not been for VAR, Lukaku would have had himself a hat-trick.
Inter head into this match against Barcelona, who are already through as group winners, with their Champions League destiny in their hands. The Nerazzurri know that if they match or better Borussia Dortmund’s result against Slavia Prague they will be through to the knockout stages.
