Fiorentina are growing more and more hopeful that Franck Ribery will be able to return for this weekend’s match against Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The veteran Frenchman, who joined La Viola this past Summer after leaving Bayern Munich, has been out of action due to an ankle injury and will be evaluated on a daily basis leading up to the game. Fiorentina hope that he will be able to re-join his teammates in full training from Thursday.
The report from the Roman based newspaper goes on to state that both German Pezzella and Kevin Prince Boateng will be back at Vincenzo Montella’s disposal as they both returned to full training yesterday.
Should Ribery join Pezzella and Boateng in returning, it would be a huge boost for Fiorentina heading into the match against a table-topping Inter side. Fiorentina are down in 13th and are on a horrid run of form having lost four of their last five.
