In an interview with Fox Sports, Flamengo president Rodolfo Landim has revealed that there is an agreement in place with Inter over the transfer of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa.

“We have been talking for a long time with the player. We have already reached a preliminary agreement with Inter but everything depends on the will of Gabigol, who has asked to talk about it at the end of the season,” he explained.

“I do not see anything wrong with that. Gabigol was very focused on the Copa Libertadores and that was nice because we saw what he did in the final. It is nice to see that he is staying focused for the Club World Cup because that is how we want him to be.

“We are open to discuss things with him. Should he stay, it would be fantastic. He knows the fans love him and I think there is a sensational relationship between the parties.”
