As part of an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport 24, Joao Mario has spoken on the possibility of Lokomotiv Moscow teammate Alexei Miranchuk joining Inter.
“Alexei has potential. In Italy it is very tactical and physical whilst he is quite a technical player but he could play in Italy, Spain and England, it will all depend on his mentality,” the Portuguese midfielder, who is currently out on loan at the Russian Premier League club from Inter, explained.
He was then asked what he would do if Inter manager Antonio Conte came to ask him about Miranchuk, who has been linked with Inter in reports in Russia.
“It is almost impossible at this level for it [Conte coming to ask me about a player] to happen. Conte is unlikely to need my advice. Clubs and managers of a certain status clearly understand who they need and if they want to buy a player, they will and will do so without unnecessary advice.”
