Inter are working to try and land Rodrigo de Paul in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in Roman newspaper La Repubblica.
The Nerazzurri are looking to strengthen their midfield, a department where the lack of quality outwith the starters is poor, and see de Paul as a player who could improve that area of the field.
Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti is particularly fond of the 25-year-old, who is also Argentine. de Paul is currently on the books of Udinese and has one goal and two assists in 13 appearances this season.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen is a player that Inter management dream of bringing in to strengthen the midfield but it remains to be seen whether or not they could somehow do a deal for the Dane, who has also drawn links to Real Madrid and Manchester United.
With regards to Arturo Vidal, Inter face an uphill battle to sign the Chilean midfielder from Barcelona, who are understood to want a significant sum to part ways with him.
The report also states that Inter are eyeing a new left wing back and have shortlisted both Marcos Alonso and Matteo Darmian.
