The match official assignments for the upcoming round of Serie A action have been published with Maurizio Mariani assigned to referee Inter’s match away to Fiorentina this weekend.
The 37-year-old will referee his 13th match of the season across all competitions at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and it will be the second time he referees a match involving the sides.
He refereed Inter’s 1-0 win over Udinese back on match day three and Fiorentina’s 2-1 win away to Sassuolo on match day 10.
In the 12 matches he has refereed to date, which also include two Europa League matches, he has dished out 53 yellow cards an average of 4.4 per game. He has also brandished the red card no less than 15 red times.
Mariani will be assisted by Giorgio Schenone and Mauro Vivenzi whilst Piero Giacomelli will be the fourth official. Paolo Mazzoleni will be in charge of VAR and Giacomo Paganessi will be there to assist him.
