Inter manager Antonio Conte already finds himself dealing with a reduced squad and things could get worse for him over the coming weeks, a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport highlights.
Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini, Kwadwo Asamoah and Alexis Sanchez are all currently sidelined by injury whilst Antonio Candreva is not in top condition having hurt his back in the goalless draw with Roma.
Things could become even more complicated for Conte as there are currently several players one booking away from getting an automatic one game suspension. Danilo D’Ambrosio, Milan Skriniar, Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic are all currently at risk of suspension.
The report from the Roman newspaper goes on to state that Valentino Lazaro could be granted his fourth start of the season this weekend against Fiorentina.
Diego Godin will be rested, as is always the case following a Champions League match, and one of Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar could join him in being rested.
