Inter legend Daniele ‘Lele’ Adani has commented on the predicament that Inter now find themselves in having been eliminated from the Champions League earlier on this week.
“Inter can’t commit themselves to not pay as much attention to the mental condition of the players which are the technical and tactical characteristics that the coach is asking of them,” he said whilst in Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s studios.
“In the league, the team are doing more than anyone could have hoped for but the defects of the team are clear in Europe and they are made to pay for their mistakes. Teams like Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund do not make mistakes.
“So far Inter have leaned heavily on their two strikers and now they will have to try and get similar level of performances from the midfielders, who must play with more consistency. So far the two strikers have done all the work in attack.”
