In an interview with Radio Bruno Toscana, former Inter defender Francesco ‘Ciccio’ Colonnese has shared his views on how he expects Inter to head into Sunday’s match in Serie A away to Fiorentina.
“An angry Inter will arrive in Florence, eager to continue to amaze in the league despite their elimination from the Champions League. It will be a very complicated match for Fiorentina.
“It could be a chance at redemption for Fiorentina. If they lose it will mean four straight defeats and when you get in such a rut it is difficult to get out of it. They must try and get a good result or at least leave the pitch having put in a great performance.”
He then proceeded to sing the praises of Borja Valero and Lautaro Martinez.
“Borja Valero found himself ready in a time of need, when he seemed out of the project. Against Barcelona he was one of the best performers. He is a serious professional and his great career proves it.
“Lautaro Martinez is making a difference, no one thought he could become the attacking weapon for Inter that he has.”
