Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde was quizzed upon Inter’s reported interest in signing Arturo Vidal in the upcoming January transfer window as part of his press conference ahead of the Blaugrana’s match with Real Sociedad.

“What can I say? This is information does not come from us, but from Inter. They will know,” he remarked.

“The transfer market has not yet started. We have three games before the end of the year, Vidal is one of our players and we will count on him if we consider him convenient. Then we will see what happens.”

Vidal has drawn strong links to Inter with it understood that Nerazzurri manager Antonio Conte is desperate to be reunited with him as he sees him as the perfect reinforcement for his midfield.

32-year-old Chilean international Vidal, who has been with Barcelona since the Summer of 2018, has made 16 appearances across all competitions this season. He has scored four goals and provided one assist.
