In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, former Inter defender Nemanja Vidic has commented on Inter’s recent elimination from the Champions League.
“The Nerazzurri are doing very good. It is a shame that they did not reach the Champions League knockout stages. They have a very ambitious manager at the helm who asks a lot of the players and I hope to see them make the second round next year.”
He then spoke on Inter and another of his former clubs in Manchester United’s involvement in the Europa League.
“They are very important clubs for the competition, they certainly both have a chance to win it. Manchester United are recovering and have many young players whilst Inter seems to me to have a more balanced mix. We will see what happens.”
Inter have been drawn to face Bulgarian side Ludogorets in the round of 32 whilst Manchester United will travel to Belgium to take on Club Brugge.
