Alexis Sanchez and Nicolo Barella should both be back at Inter manager Antonio Conte’s disposal for the first game back after the Serie A winter break against Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Sanchez has been out of action since the middle of October having sustained an ankle injury whilst on international duty with Chile which required surgery.

The 31-year-old, who is at Inter on loan from Premier League side Manchester United, was given the go-ahead to return when he met with the specialist last week but understandably needs to get himself back up to speed in terms of fitness.

Barella on the other hand has missed Inter’s past five games due to a knee injury which required surgery and his return will come as a welcome boost to Conte, who has had to deal with a severely depleted midfield as of late.

Whilst Sanchez and Barella are set for returns, a return date for Kwadwo Asamoah is a little more uncertain. The Ghanaian has been having bother with a recurring knee problem and it is for this reason that Inter are looking at possibly bring in Marcos Alonso or Matteo Darmian in the January transfer window.
