In today’s print edition, Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport have taken a look at Inter’s recent struggles when it comes to keeping clean sheets.

The Nerazzurri started the season defensively solid and kept four clean sheets in their opening six games but in the 11 games since, they have managed to keep just two clean sheets – against Torino and Roma respectively.

This is a worrying trend for Inter but despite their failure to keep the ball from going in their net in recent weeks, they can however be happy with the fact that they can boast the best defensive record in Serie A having let in just 14 goals all season.

Moreover, Inter are on a fairly good defensive run having conceded just three in their last five league outings and of course had they managed to avoid conceding in the dying seconds of their match with Fiorentina last Sunday, it would have been just two.
