Italian Report Charts Five Reasons Why Inter Can Be Optimistic About Possibly Winning Serie A
In today’s print edition, Gazzetta dello Sport have listed five reasons why Inter have reason to be optimistic about their chances of winning the Serie A title this season.
The first reason is the January transfer market is on the horizon. The Nerazzurri are set to reinforce and are trying to push through deals that they had originally decided they would do in the Summer transfer window.
The second reason is this Saturday’s match against Genoa should be the final one in this crisis situation. Inter have had to deal with several injuries, particularly in the midfield, but all players are expected back for the first game back after the winter break.
The third reason are the parallels which can be made between Antonio Conte’s first season at Inter and first season at Juventus, a season which ended with him winning them the title.
The fourth reason is the mental strength Inter have showcased. Despite finding themselves in some difficult situations, including the crisis in midfield, Inter have managed to keep on going.
The final reason is that other than Diego Godin, Alexis Sanchez and Kwadwo Asamoah, the team are full of players hungry for their first piece of silverware.
