Former Inter centre back Fabio Cannavaro has shared his thoughts and feelings on Inter’s in-form striker Lautaro Martinez.
“I was surprised that Lautaro Martinez had problems with Luciano Spalletti. Lautaro is an extraordinary player who has a real desire to score goals. He does an important job on the field which also benefits his strike partner Romelu Lukaku,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
The current Guangzhou Evergrande manager then went on to add: “If I could, I would sign him up tomorrow morning. He is one of those players who would do good in Chinese football.”
Lautaro has exploded this season having been given the chance to start almost every game under the stewardship of Antonio Conte.
The 22-year-old Argentine international has scored 13 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions and reports in the media state that Barcelona are extremely keen on signing him as a long-term replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez.
