Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini discussed the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 win over Genoa as well as Inter’s position at the top of the league table in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia tonight.

“The Christmas training program is yet to come, but each of us must have the conviction that we must work to improve and have an extra push for next year.”

He spoke about his record of scoring against Genoa, a record he added to again tonight.

“It’s peculiar, I’m sorry for the Genoa fans but I’m happy for the goal, the performance and the victory.”

The 25-year-old Italian then touched on the strength of the Nerazzurri squad this season.

“We are 20 or 22 players all with potential and who can play well, especially in this period when there were so many injured. There was this response thanks to the coach who keeps everyone involved and thanks the players.”

Finally, Gagliardini spoke about the Nerazzurri’s chances of winning the league title this season.

“There’s still two games left to go before the end of the first half of the season, but so far no one’s really gotten under our skin. We have to play this out to the end.”
