Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi discussed the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 win over Genoa as well as his brief return to the pitch in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV after tonight’s game.

“I thank the coach for his fine words, which give me an incentive to do even better. I’ve missed the pitch, it’s been a difficult two months, but now I’m very happy to be back, to have played a bit of the game.”

The 24-year-old Italian then touched on the standing ovation he received from the fans when he was substituted on.

“The fans with that ovation gave me the shivers. I really missed those experiences, now I’m happy. I’ve suffered a lot because working apart at Appiano and watching the games from the stands hasn’t been easy.”

“We’re happy with the result, to finish this year with a win. Above all because we were playing at home and we didn’t want to disappoint our fans.”
