Barcelona Want €20m For Vidal But Inter Only Want To Spend Half Of That On Him

Barcelona want €20 million but Inter only want to spend half of that on signing Arturo Vidal according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Inter were seemingly only going to go in for the Chilean international midfielder on a loan basis but club leaders have given the green light to work on a permanent deal for him, so long as it is not too costly given his age.

The alternative to Vidal remains Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul but Inter do not wish to pay the Bianconeri’s reported €35 million demands for him.

Negotiations are meanwhile continuing between Inter and Atalanta over hot prospect Dejan Kulusevski. With Atalanta demanding €40 million, Inter could include Matteo Politano in the deal to bring the cost down.

The report goes on to add that any swap deal between Inter and Napoli involving Politano and Fernando Llorente is unlikely to happen until near the end of the window until it becomes clearer what will happen with Politano.

The Turin newspaper also state that Inter are continuing their search for a new left back. Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri and Parma’s Matteo Darmian are all believed to be players currently being considered.
