Flamengo have presented an offer to Inter for 80% of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa’s registration rights according to a report from Brazilian newspaper UOL Esporte.

The 23-year-old striker has been on loan with the Rio de Janeiro based club since January this year and his loan deal is due to expire in a few days time.

In 58 appearances across all competitions, Gabigol scored 43 goals and provided 13 assists and the Mengao wish to sign him up on a permanent basis as a result.

As per the report, they have offered Inter a sum of €16 million for 80% and look to be getting closer to striking a deal with the Nerazzurri, who are keen to capitalise on Gabigol’s good form in order to help fund their January transfer market ambitions.

Premier League clubs West Ham United and Crystal Palace as well as German side Schalke have all also been linked with a move for the former Santos player, who joined Inter back in 2016 for a sum of €30 million.
