Inter have submitted an offer to Chelsea for defender Marcos Alonso according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
Inter have made a loan with obligation to buy offer for the 28-year-old full back, who will celebrate his 29th birthday tomorrow.
The Nerazzurri have offered €6 million to take him on loan for the remainder of the season and will pay a further €15 million to sign him up on a permanent basis this Summer.
The offer, which totals €21 million, falls just short of the Premier League club’s €25 million demands for him and it now remains to be seen if it will be enough to convince them to part ways with the former Fiorentina defender, who joined them back in 2016.
This season Alonso, who has won a Premier League title, FA Cup and Europa League during his time with the Blues, has made 14 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored one goal and tallied three assists.
