Radja Nainggolan has spoken on his decision to return to former club Cagliari on a season long loan from Inter this past Summer.
“Coming back here was a simple choice. I know the people and the city. I want to get back to my best and I think am playing well,” he said in an interview with Serie A’s You Tube channel.
“Nobody expected that we would be doing as well as we are in the league. It is thanks to the hard work and desire of the guys not used to playing like this. It shows that we are so hungry.
“I had a great November and being named the best player in the league is always thanks to my teammates. The victory over Atalanta has given us the conviction that we can play against everyone.”
He concluded: “I am proud to wear the captain’s armband: I have always been a leader, I try to share my experience with my teammates. I hate losing and give everything I have for the team. I can be arrogant, but on the field you play to win.”
