Carles Alena’s proposed transfer from Barcelona to Real Betis will not affect Inter’s attempts to sign Arturo Vidal according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Reports in the Spanish media in particular have suggested that if Alena is to leave, Barcelona will not allow the Chilean international to leave the club but FCInterNews.it insist that this is not the case.

The reason for this is because Alena is far from first option for manager Ernesto Valverde as evidenced by the fact he has been limited to just 170 minutes on the pitch this season.

Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich is hard at work trying to satisfy his client’s demands to get him out of Barcelona and to Inter, where he would be reunited with former manager Antonio Conte.

This season 32-year-old Vidal has made 19 appearances across all competitions but has started nowhere near as much as he would have liked which has led to him becoming unsettled.
