Noted journalist Sandro Sabatini has shared his belief that Mauro Icardi’s time with Inter is completely over.
Icardi left Inter after months of off-field controversy on transfer deadline day as he secured a loan move to reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain.
PSG have an option to buy the 26-year-old on a permanent basis from Inter come the end of the season with reports stating they are very keen to do so. Some reports have however stated that Icardi could veto any permanent move to the French capital though due to a clause in his contract.
“I think his time with Inter is completely over and it is for the good of all parties involved. What I can say though is that Mauro Icardi is a great centre forward who could have played in a partnership with Romelu Lukaku,” he said whilst speaking in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva.
