Real Madrid have ignited an interest in signing Lautaro Martinez from Inter according to a report from Spanish newspaper Diario Depor.
Los Blancos have identified Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe as their primary target for this coming Summer’s transfer window but if unable to sign him, they will go all in for Lautaro.
The report goes on to state that Real Madrid may be able to sign the 22-year-old Argentine international for a sum between €70 and €110 million.
As per many reports in the Italian media as of late, Inter are looking to tie Martinez down to a new and improved contract and hope to remove the release clause that is in his contract.
Recent reports from a host of media outlets have also spoken of Real Madrid’s arch-rivals Barcelona also being strongly interested in Lautaro.
Barcelona seemingly see the former Racing Club striker as a potential long-term replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez.
