Inter have agreed terms with Matteo Darmian and now just need to reach a deal with Parma according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Inter worked in synergy with fellow Serie A club Parma to bring the 30-year-old defender back to Italy this past Summer for a sum of €1.5 million from Premier League side Manchester United and it is understood that there was an agreement that Darmian would then be sold on to Inter this coming Summer.

Darmian has agreed to a three year contract with the Nerazzurri and will earn €1.8 million annually and the report states that he could well join as soon as January but the clubs need to hold more talks to decide what to do.

The reason for him possibly moving in January is because of Chelsea’s firm stance with their demands for defender Marcos Alonso. Some reports have stated that Chelsea want as much as €40 million for the 29-year-old, way more than what Inter want to pay for him.

Darmian has made 14 appearances across all competitions since joining the Ducali and has dished out one assist in 1170 minutes on the pitch.
