Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini has discussed Inter’s current transfer objectives in a report on Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb today.
The report details how the first target is Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal, who now seems destined to join the Nerazzurri following on from his complaints about unpaid bonuses from last season. The 32-year-old Chilean is now all but certain to be leaving the Blaugrana in January, due to his legal complaints.
Whilst Atalanta owned midfielder Dejan Kulusevski is being worked on for a deal next summer, the Nerazzurri management are also working on alternatives, the report highlights. One of these is 24-year-old German midfielder Julian Weigl, who is contracted to Borussia Dortmund until 2021.
Finally, Inter are still working with Napoli to send Matteo Politano down to the Naples based club, in exchange for Spanish striker Fernando Llorente, who coach Antonio Conte thinks would be perfect back up for striker Romelu Lukaku. Fiorentina are also interested in Politano, continuing on from their interest in the Italian in the summer.
