Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi are likely to leave Chelsea in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from British broadcaster Sky Sports.
Chelsea would like to bring in Lyon star Moussa Dembele to bolster their attacking options and will therefore allow Giroud and Batshuayi to depart for new clubs.
Giroud has drawn strong links to Inter as well as a host of clubs in his native France in recent weeks and months. The veteran striker’s contract with the Premier League club is due to expire at the end of this season and he could be allowed to leave on the cheap in January.
Batshuayi has largely been used off of the bench this season and has scored seven goals in 19 appearances across all competitions but should former Celtic striker Dembele arrive at Stamford Bridge, he will only be pushed further down the pecking order at the club.
