Match officials for matchday 18 in Serie A have today been assigned with Daniele Doveri assigned to referee Inter’s match away to Napoli.

The 42-year-old referee will be refereeing his 12th game this season across all competitions when he takes charge of the whistle at the Stadio San Paolo on Monday night.

This will be the second time that he referees a match involving both sides this season. He was in charge for the Milan derby back in September, which Inter won 2-0. He meanwhile refereed Napoli’s goalless draw away to Torino at the start of October.

Doveri will be assisted by Matteo Passeri and Stefano Del Giovane and the fourth official for the match will be Michael Fabbri. Gianpaolo Calvarese has been assigned to look after VAR and Alessandro Giallatini will be alongside to assist him.

The match will pit joint-top Inter against eighth placed Napoli, who have not performed anywhere near as well as they would have liked this season.
