If Inter fail in their pursuit to sign Arturo Vidal from Barcelona, they could try to sign Nahitan Nandez from Cagliari according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

32-year-old Chilean international Vidal is Inter’s number one transfer target but Barcelona are understood to be making things difficult and do not wish to let him depart unless their €20 million demands are met which are far more than what Inter are willing to pay given his age.

Should Barcelona continue to be difficult, Inter could attempt to bring in Uruguayan international Nandez on loan for the remainder of the season.

Even if Inter do go on to sign Vidal, it does not necessarily mean that a move will not be made for Nandez, the report from the Turin newspaper continues. In the unfortunate event that there is yet another injury in the midfield, Inter could also make a move for him.
