Inter manager Antonio Conte has taken a liking to Roma defender Leonardo Spinazzola according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Conte wants a new left back added to his squad over the course of the January transfer window due to Kwadwo Asamoah’s knee trouble and Spinazzola is the latest player to join what appears to be an ever-growing shortlist.

The 26-year-old only joined Roma this past Summer from Juventus and the report states that as a result he is not a player on the transfer market.

Conte also likes Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini. The 23-year-old is very much esteemed by the club’s current owners and incoming owners too therefore much like Spinazzola, it will be complicated for Inter to try and sign him.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Roma are keen on signing Matteo Politano from Inter. In order to buy him, they will first have to sell Cengiz Ünder or agree to sign Politano on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
