Inter are expecting West Ham United to table a formal offer for striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
As per the report, Inter expect that offer from the Premier League club to be in the region of €22 million plus bonuses.
This offer could therefore force Flamengo into offering more for the 23-year-old striker, who spent the entirety of 2019 on loan with them.
They have offered €16 million for 80% of his registration rights and Inter are highly unlikely to accept this offer if West Ham do come in with the offer that they expect.
Funds raised through the former Santos player’s sale would immediately be reinvested by Inter in this transfer window and could well be the difference maker in some deals happening or not.
Whilst out on loan at Flamengo, Gabigol, who joined Inter for around €30 million in 2016, scored 43 goals and tallied 13 assists in 58 appearances across all competitions.
