Inter are interested in several players at the moment as they look to strengthen the side over the course of the January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.

Barcelona and Chile international midfielder Arturo Vidal is the club’s number one target and talks have taken place with the Blaugrana.

Inter have identified several alternatives they could go in for in the event that they are unable to strike a deal with the reigning Spanish champions.

Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul is one alternative under consideration by Inter management whilst Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen has also been linked with a switch to the Nerazzurri but Eriksen is more of an idea for the Summer transfer window due to his expiring contract status.

Inter are looking at Fernando Llorente and Olivier Giroud as possible additions for the club’s attack and the former could be acquired in a swap deal with Matteo Politano heading in the opposite direction.

If a swap deal with Napoli for Llorente does not occur, Politano could still be on his way out of Inter with Parma, Atalanta and Roma all also understood to be interested in signing him.
