Kwadwo Asamoah made a return to training with the rest of his Inter teammates yesterday according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Ghanaian defender has been having problems with the cartilage in one of his knees and has missed many of Inter’s recent matches as a result.

Although now back in full training, Monday night’s match away to Napoli will still come too soon for him and he will have to miss out on it.

With Asamoah now back in full training it remains to be seen what it means for Inter’s widely reported pursuit for a new left back as one of the main reasons for Inter searching for a new left back in the first place was due to Asamoah’s knee problem.

Inter have drawn links to several players including Chelsea duo Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso as well as Parma’s Matteo Darmian.

Sporting’s Marcos Acuna has also been linked and some reports have even suggested Inter have had an offer rejected for him.
