Danilo D’Ambrosio looks to spend at least the next three weeks on the sidelines due to picking up an injury in training according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Inter released a statement yesterday confirming that the Italian full back had picked up a muscle injury and his condition will be re-evaluated next week.

The 31-year-old will miss Inter’s first game back after the Serie A winter break on Monday night against his hometown club Napoli but will also miss two other games, those against Lecce and Cagliari.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Stefano Sensi is in line to start for the first time since October 6 having recovered from his injury.

Nicolo Barella, who has spent some time out injured as of late, should make the bench for the match at the Stadio San Paolo whilst both Marcelo Brozovic and Lautaro Martinez will come back into the starting 11 having served a one match suspension against Genoa.
