Inter hope to soon be able to raise their offer for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Vidal is Inter’s number one transfer target for the January transfer window and negotiations to sign him are already underway with Inter having already made an offer totalling €12 million.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are expecting developments on the Vidal front as well as the Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa front.

Gabigol looks set to leave the club during this window with Flamengo and West Ham United both reportedly vying to sign him.

Funds raised through his sale could really help Inter out in their bid to bring Vidal to the club as it would allow them to increase their offer.

Barcelona are understood to value the 32-year-old Chilean international at €20 million and it remains to be seen if Inter will meet those demands or try get him for a little cheaper.
