Roma have rejected Inter’s proposal of a swap deal that would see Leonardo Spinazzola and Matteo Politano exchanged according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report from the Milan based newspaper suggests it could be down to the fact that Roma need to move another winger on before being able to bring Politano in.
As per the report, Roma would be unable to bring Politano in unless they can find a new club for young Turkish international Cengiz Ünder.
The 22-year-old has been linked with moves to Bayern Munich, Monaco and Everton in recent weeks and if moved on, it remains to be seen if that could lead to Roma changing their stance on the possible swap.
As per other reports in the media, Antonio Conte has taken a real liking to Spinazzola, as he is looking for another left back to be brought in during this window.
