In an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva, former Inter player Francesco ‘Ciccio’ Colonnese has reflected on how the first half of the season went for Inter.
“Inter are deserving of the position they occupy in the table after the first half of the season,” he began.
“Inter are well trained and have the mentality of a team who never want to lose, but in the Champions League the wickedness that has always been on show in the league was missing. The match with Napoli will be an excellent test for Conte’s team.”
Colonnese, who spent three years with Inter between 1997 and 2000, also went on to speak about what he thinks Inter need to do during the course of the transfer window.
“Inter definitely need to bring in a central midfielder, someone like Arturo Vidal. They also need a new left back because Cristiano Biraghi and Kwadwo Asamoah are not enough.”
