Antonio Conte has four reasons to be excited about Stefano Sensi’s return to action this month, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The midfielder has made just two appearances for Inter since going off injured during the defeat to Juventus on 6 October, playing a total of 41 minutes.
Sensi is expected to start for the Nerazzurri when Conte’s side play Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo on Monday night.
CdS said the 24-year-old would improve the quality of Inter’s play and guarantee more goals and assists, as well as providing versatility and dangerous forward runs.
“Inter lost a lot of technical skill in midfield while Sensi and Nicolo Barella were out injured,” the paper reported today.
“Leaving Marcelo Brozovic to one side, it must be said Borja Valero and Roberto Gagliardini have different qualities to those two. They can only play at one speed and they guarantee solidity more than finesse.”
Sensi scored three goals and provided four assists in his first six competitive appearances for Inter, having joined from Sassuolo on an initial loan deal last summer.
CdS compared the Italy international to former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio for his ability to break into the box and support attacks.
