Inter have made progress in talks with Christian Eriksen’s agent but a move in January remains unlikely, according to FcInterNews.it.

The Nerazzurri’s chief executive Beppe Marotta met the midfielder’s representative Martin Schoots in November and began negotiations over personal terms.

Eriksen wants a four-year deal worth €10 million annually at his next club, a salary Inter appear willing to grant him.

However, the move would almost certainly take place in the summer and not this month because Eriksen stands to earn more if he waits until June.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are also keen on snapping up the 27-year-old on a free transfer, who has repeatedly rejected Spurs’s offers to sign a new deal.

Paris Saint-Germain have offered Eriksen a €12 million annual salary, but the Danish international is unenthusiastic at the prospect of moving to Ligue 1.

Eriksen and his agent Schoots know they can ask for better wages if they wait until the summer, when Inter would not need to pay Tottenham a transfer fee.
