Udinese caretaker manager Luca Gotti has admitted it will be difficult for the club to keep a hold of star man Rodrigo de Paul.

Following their 1-0 win over Lecce, Gotti was quizzed on the future of match winner de Paul, who has long drawn links with moves elsewhere, including fellow Serie A club Inter.

“I can’t keep him in Udine,” Gotti very honestly admitted tothe gathered reporters in the mixed zone at the Stadio Friuli after the match.

25-year-old de Paul has been plying his trade with the Bianconeri club since the Summer of 2016 following a move from La Liga side Valencia.

The highly versatile Argentine international is capable of playing in a range of roles across the midfield and the attack and is understood to have been identified by Inter as a possible signing in the event that they are unable to land top transfer target Arturo Vidal from Barcelona.
