Inter have what is described as a ‘very strong’ interest in signing Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Italia.
The 19-year-old centre back has shown a lot of promise when playing for the newly promoted Gialloblu this season and his performances have also caught the eye of another Serie A club in Atalanta.
Reports in the media in recent weeks have stated that Inter have already met with officials from the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi club to hold talks.
It is understood that Kumbulla’s name was one of three brought up in the meeting with the other two names being Amir Rrahmani and Sofyan Amrabat, who both look set to join Napoli in a combined €35 million deal.
Kumbulla, who was born in Italy but represents Albania internationally, has made 12 appearances across all competitions this season. In 1016 minutes on the field, he has scored a single goal and helped the team to keep four clean sheets.
