Arturo Vidal’s Barcelona teammates and club president Josep Maria Bartomeu have asked him to reconsider his decision to seek a move away from the club this month according to a report in today’s print edition of Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
He is understood to have been quite receptive to what was a bombardment of support from his teammates to the point he is now thinking about staying with the club at least until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old Chilean international is Inter’s number one transfer target and the Nerazzurri have offered €12 million to sign him but Barcelona have made clear that the offer is not sufficient enough for the former Juventus man.
As per various reports in the media, the reigning Spanish champions want €20 million for him and have no interest in entertaining anything other than a permanent move. The Catalans would agree to loan him out on the basis there is an obligation to buy.
